Duke Upgrades – Steam Wells

Duke Manufacturing is excited to announce the next step in enhancing a key component of the Duke Ideal Integrated Serving System: with the upgrade of the Duke Steam Well.    

Effective immediately, the “Value” level steam well (offering the longest hold times and exceptional capability for holding difficult-to-hold menu items) now provides an upgraded Sealed Hot Food Well (SHW). 

20–40% Greater Energy Efficiency 

  • Full insulation ensures heat is directed toward keeping food hot — not escaping into the cabinet below. This means lower operating costs and more consistent food temperatures. 

35–40°F Cooler Cabinet Environment 

  • The heat that previously escaped into the cabinet is now contained within the unit. The sides of the sealed hot food well below the top surface run 

The SHW features the same dimensions, wattage, and voltage as the ADI-SW units. Customers can expect the same high-performance hot food holding they have always experienced with Duke ADI sealed hot wells — with one important upgrade: the sides and bottom are now fully insulated. 

  • Same dimensions, voltage, and wattage as the ADI-SW — zero operational changes for your team to ensure a smooth transition to the upgraded SHW model. 
  • In addition, the SHW is available in additional wattages and voltages to ensure we can meet future competitive specifications and/or performance requirements.

The SHW Model series replaces the former “ADI” model steam wells.  Updated spec sheets can be found on the Rep Portal and will be updated in AutoQuotes the week of 6/1.
